Navajo Child’s Double Saddle Blanket Circa 1910

This narrow double saddle blanket was made for a small horse and small saddle.  It's in the typical "window pane" tradition, where the center is unadorned, but outlined with the pattern that would show under saddle. Double saddle blankets were meant to be folded when used, for extra padding, but they make wonderful wall art or small area rugs when they retire from the outdoors. This one's in excellent condition, and it has a natural gray center, a natural white border, and a deep, rich, red edge. Typical saddle blanket tassels are at all four corners. Measures 50" x 24" Circa 1910
