Haida Totem Night Light
Carved from cedar. This could also have been a "Radio Light" - a small light that sat on radio cabinets in the 1930's. The totem features a bear, whale and two human figures. Cleverly, a tin can was used to cover the socket in the back. The bulb lights the eyes, which are blue glass marbles. The carving is finished with house paint details. A great Native-carved functional piece.
