Harrison Crandall – A Cowgirl and Her Horse
Large hand colored image of a Jackson Hole beauty and her horse, circa 1940. This image was developed at half contrast in order to allow the hand painted oil color to be more prominent. Crandall is the only photographer known to have used this technique. This piece was photographed for, and appears in, the new Harrison R. Crandall biography.
