Olive Fell – Listening Ears
Another of Fell's larger etchings, with much more light space in the background. The mule deer does, so named for their large ears, are using them to good advantage, as if we, the viewers, have just made ourselves known to them. This work shows Fell's familiarity with the behavior of the animals in and around her Four Bear Ranch near Yellowstone.
