Shoshone and Other Western Wonders

A first edition copy.  The author writes about his journey starting in Omaha, through the Rockies to Salt Lake City, then north to Shoshone, ID, and finally heading east to Yellowstone. Etchings provided throughout the text give us new perspective of what old towns and cities looked like in their infancy. Parts of the journey were by rail, and some by horse and wagon. The author ranks Shoshone Falls right up there with Niagra Falls, and he is convinced that Henry's Lake is indeed the most beautiful place on earth. Near fine condition, sagebrush green cover and embossed gilt lettering.
