Navajo, Crystal Area, Single Saddle Blanket
Striking single saddle blanket from the Crystal area circa 1930. Hand-spun, incorporating standard weaving with twill accents in the center, this blanket has a bold design consistent with the period. All dyes are aniline except perhaps the lighter tan in the center. Red, black, dark tan/gold, combined with natural gray and white. All yarns Z-spun except edge binding. Circa 1930, measures 30.5" x 30"
