Wolf Totem

The Totem shows a wolf holding a human, and what is possibly a beaver's head at the bottom. This was an outdoor piece, and probably had a twin - these were usually on either side of an entrance to a house. Remnants of old white, black and light blue paint remain. The cedar is weathered to silver-gray. One ear of the wolf has been broken long ago. Fabulous piece and very refined carving.
